Donate your used car, truck, boat or RV to the Desert Samaritans for the Elderly and we'll arrange to have it picked up free of charge. We accept most vehicles, even if they don't run. Some restrictions may apply on older vehicles, though. It's easy and convenient, and you'll be eligible for a tax deduction as well!
Why donate my vehicle?
- Vehicle and vessel donations made to a bona fide charitable organization are tax deductible to the full extent of the law. However, individual tax situations vary so please check with a tax professional to determine what if any tax benefit you may receive from a tax deductible donation.
- It's also much easier to donate your used vehicle than it is to sell it yourself. And the tax savings might even be more than what you would receive from a trade in. You’ll be spared the ordeal of selling your vehicle to a stranger.
How to make a vehicle donation
Donating is easy! Complete the Vehicle Donation Form (below) and return, or call Desert Samaritans for the Elderly at 760-837-9066. We have partnered with car Program, Inc., a national firm, to make the process as easy and smooth as possible. After receiving all of your information you will be contacted by a licensed towing company to make arrangements for pick up.
